A letter from Emily Cerbone

I’m writing regarding my mother’s recent trip to the hospital, on May 17th.   The nurse on duty that morning (Denise) did a wonderful job of monitoring my Mom’s complaint as well as calling to inform me that Mom may be headed to the hospital.  Thanks, too, for the kind help from Hilda, the Aide on duty.  She helped dress and comfort my mother, before the ambulance arrived.  Lastly, when Mom returned to RCH the next day, she was welcomed by Carmen who nicely helped her to re-settle into her apartment for the night, offering to help in any way possible. Denise was also on duty, and quickly processed her back into the care of RCH.

While at the hospital with my Mom, we surely recognized the difference between the excellent care she receives from the staff at RCH and that which we experienced at the hospital.  The difference was “like night and day”!  After the hospital discharge, I drove my Mom back to RCH.  It definitely felt like we were “back home”!  Lastly, thanks for your leadership skills and kindness to help make RCH a wonderful place.

Please extend our appreciation to these Staff members; feel free to forward this email to whomever appropriate.
