Happy 250th Birthday, America!
On behalf of our residents, families, volunteers, and staff, I am proud that Reformed Church Home will be joining communities across our nation in celebrating America’s 250th Birthday. This milestone offers us an opportunity to reflect on the freedoms, opportunities, and enduring spirit that have shaped our country for generations. It is also a time to honor the many individuals whose lives, service, sacrifices, and contributions have helped enlighten the world around them.
As part of our celebration, we invite residents and families to participate in a festive Patriotic Parade. Whether you are walking independently, using a walker, or traveling in a wheelchair, we encourage everyone to join the fun by dressing and decorating in red, white, and blue.
On Friday, July 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room, we will gather for our Patriotic Parade followed by a special “fireworks” presentation filled with music, laughter, and community spirit.
As we celebrate this historic anniversary, I am reminded of the words inscribed on the Statue of Liberty—Liberty Enlightening the World. In so many ways, the residents and team members of Reformed Church Home have done exactly that. Through their kindness, resilience, wisdom, service, and friendship, they have brought light to the lives of others and strengthened the community we proudly call home.
Thank you for helping make Reformed Church Home a place where freedom, dignity, compassion, and hope continue to shine brightly every day.
