Making Memories This Holiday Reformed Church Home

Events around Town in Old Bridge, NJ, in December

Life in the Central Jersey Shore area gets especially busy during the holiday season, and Reformed Church Home is very involved and active in celebrating with our residents and families. Whether you’re part of our community as a full-time resident or planning to visit a loved one at RCH or the Old Bridge area, we encourage you to explore all that the surrounding area has to offer this season. Here are just a few of the local events and attractions in December that are perfect for a fun outing.

European Holiday Market

Why not make the experience of shopping for Christmas gifts just as much fun as giving and receiving them? The European Holiday Market in nearby Asbury Park is an authentic experience full of artisanal crafts, specialty and imported foods, and handmade toys. During the overall market, special events will happen inside, including pop-ups like the Hlas Children’s Choir on December 10 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and a Gingerbread Cookie Workshop at the Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten at 11:00 a.m. the same day. It’s a great way to find gifts for everyone on your list while getting into the holiday spirit.

Festival of Trees

If you don’t already have a full-size, fresh-cut Christmas tree at home (or even if you do), you can see a great selection at the Morven Museum’s 13 galleries of fully decorated pines. The Princeton holiday tradition is courtesy of local businesses and nonprofit organizations, which each decorate a tree according to a unique theme.
