Celebrating Our Amazing Activities Team at Reformed Church Home

At Reformed Church Home, we are proud to celebrate Activity Professionals Week this January 19th – 25th, a time to honor the dedication, creativity, and hard work of our activities team. These professionals play an essential role in enhancing the lives of our residents each day.

Leading the charge are Amy Wendel, our Activities Director for Skilled Nursing, and Alberta Romaniello, our Activities Director for Assisted Living. Their passion and creativity ensure that every resident experience joy, connection, and fulfillment. Additionally, Pastor Sam Youssef enriches the spiritual lives of our residents by leading meaningful religious activities, offering comfort, guidance, and a strong sense of community.

The Recreation Department at Reformed Church Home is committed to improving the quality of life for our residents through therapeutic and engaging programs. Their efforts touch on the physical, mental, and social aspects of wellness, promoting health, happiness, and connection.

Why Activity Professionals Matter

From organizing games, arts and crafts, and physical activities to offering puzzles, movies, and meaningful social events, our activities coordinators ensure that every resident has opportunities to stay engaged and fulfilled. The benefits are profound:

  • Mental Well-Being: Activities boost memory, reduce depression, and improve cognitive skills.
  • Physical Health: Programs improve strength, mobility, and energy.
  • Social Connections: Residents enjoy companionship and prevent isolation.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Our recreation staff go above and beyond to make each day special. They are creative, resourceful, and always thinking of new ways to engage residents. From themed events to personalized programs, their work fosters a strong sense of community and joy at Reformed Church Home.
