Supporting Heart Health on Go Red Day at Reformed Church Home

At Reformed Church Home, we’re proud to join the nationwide movement to raise awareness about heart health during Go Red Day this February. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for men and women, and this day serves as a powerful reminder to prioritize heart-healthy habits and education.

What is Go Red Day?

Go Red Day, held annually on the first Friday of February, is part of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women® campaign, which highlights the importance of understanding and preventing heart disease, especially in women. By wearing red, we show solidarity and support for heart health awareness.

Heart Health at Reformed Church Home

Our team at Reformed Church Home is committed to promoting wellness and encouraging heart-healthy choices among residents and staff. Through physical activities, nutritious dining options, and educational events, we work together to make heart health a priority every day.

Ways We Promote Heart Health:

  • Therapeutic Recreation: Physical programs like light exercise, walking groups, and movement-based activities boost cardiovascular health.
  • Nutritional Support: Heart-friendly meals focus on balanced nutrition, incorporating fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
  • Education & Engagement: Events like Go Red Day help raise awareness about symptoms of heart disease and preventive steps.

Join Us in Wearing Red!

On Go Red Day, residents and staff at Reformed Church Home will proudly wear red to show their commitment to heart health. Together, we can make a difference—one heart at a time.
